Spend an afternoon or evening alongside our classically-trained chef, Jillian, and our certified nutritionist, Jenn, to cook and eat delicious, nutritious food, and discuss all things nutrition and health.
During this 2 hour cook-along, your team will cook one dinner and prepare and store one healthy, energizing lunch for the following day. Chef Jillian and Nutritionist Jenn will lead your team on both a culinary and educational journey, teaching new cooking skills and techniques, while sharing helpful insights about the meal you are preparing. While eating, Nutritionist Jenn will cover critical elements of fueling our bodies and brains for optimal output.

The Mountain Trek experience was impactful at both a team and personal level. Despite the COVID challenges, the online virtual approach was engaging and memorable, and makes me wonder how incredible the onsite experience would be like. The science behind the discussions, the individual testimony, and personal touch of the staff is a wonderful customer experience. Months afterwards, our team is still discussing what they have learned and changed in their lifestyles. Personally, I learned how to just slightly tweak my eating and sleeping habits, applying easily what I learned at Mountain Trek. I wasn’t sure how well a cook-along would work with 10 people Zooming in from different time zones, but everything went smoothly, the meal was delicious, and the evening turned out to be a great bonding experience for my team. This inspired me and others on my team to incorporate new techniques and ingredients into our daily home cooking. Mountain Trek brought my team together despite our remote work arrangements. We came away from this experience energized, more connected than ever, and excited to try out these lessons in the new hybrid workplace and in our lives.
Our team came together for a virtual retreat week customized to suit our group — for us it was a couple hours each morning. The content and schedule was meticulously tailored to include everything we felt would be most relevant to our culture and the ongoing work-from-home situation, including: creating separation between your work and home life, work efficiency/minimizing burnout, stress management/mindfulness, detox/fueling, sleep hygiene, how to build (healthy) habits. Each day had its own vibe; including one morning we enjoyed a yoga session, on others desk posture was worked on and meditation was practiced. Jenn (nutritionist) provided smoothie recipes in advance (we attended the Zoom with morning smoothie in hand). And after our week, one-on-one follow up sessions with Kirkland were offered. It was extremely well presented and organized, and on our end, very well received. Important to note half our group are pandemic-era hires who have never met/mingled in person! Valuable, applicable information all presented in an engaging/interactive way that invited personal sharing in the classic Mountain Trek style truly enhanced a sense of ‘group’ better than anything we could have imagined.
