High Protein Energy Smoothie

This is the early-morning smoothie we serve our guests every day. It’s packed full of energy and protein and helps break our fast and kick start our metabolic process. We recommend mixing until really smooth to get the most out of the combined flavors.

INGREDIENTS (serves 4)

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen fruit, such as berries, mangos, and/or strawberries
  • 1 handful fresh spinach or baby greens
  • 1 tablespoon hemp oil
  • 3 tablespoons hemp protein powder
  • 2 tablespoons hemp seeds
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 ½ tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon

Preparation

  1. Blend all ingredients together until smooth.
  2. Add water to thin as desired.

MT Powershake aka Protein Smoothie

Notes:

  • Recipe serves 3 x 8 oz each, or 4 x 6 oz (at MT we serve women 4oz, men 6oz – for weightloss)
  • Hemp protein powder, we use the pure stuff here at MT – no additives, just hemp (1 tbsp per serving).
  • Greens powder, we use a greens combination (with spirulina, sprouted barley, kamut, etc) that can be purchased in your health food store.
  • The frozen fruit changes each morning (mango, raspberry, strawberries, blue berries).
  • Agave or maple syrup are optional, as it might be sweet enough with the banana and frozen fruit. Simple and satisfying.
